Attorney Profile

Dennis Hyun, the founder of Hyun Legal, is a big firm veteran, having spent eight years defending global corporations at the largest, most prestigious law firms in the world. Mr. Hyun left the large law firm practice so that he could apply his training and experience to serve individuals and small businesses with their legal needs.  Since leaving corporate defense, Mr. Hyun has focused his practice on representing employees in class actions and individual cases.  Mr. Hyun has extensive experience litigating class action and individual claims for  wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Mr. Hyun also served as a judicial law clerk for two years at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, as well as as an extern at the federal court. Thus, he is extremely familiar with how the state and federal courts function.

Prior to forming Hyun Legal, Mr. Hyun was a Senior Associate at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of the most prestigious labor and employment law firms in the country, as well as at DLA Piper LLP (US), the largest law firm in the world, and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

During law school, Mr. Hyun externed at the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and served as a Research Assistant for Professor Laurie Levenson and as a summer law clerk at the law firm of Lightfoot, Vandevelde et al. (now the Los Angeles office of Crowell & Moring).
